Fees
When quoting the client
for a procedure, be sure to include those fees charged by your hospital for
histopath, hospitalization, local anesthesia, sedation/anesthesia, radiographs,
etc. Fees for the ultrasound or endoscopy procedure and any ultrasound guided
biopsy or centesis should be collected by the hospital and paid to us by clinic
check made out to PetSounds.
Below are some typical
estimates associated with these procedures:
Typical fees collected
by your hospital associated with upper GI endoscopy
(excluding fees generated by the initial work-up prior to endoscopy):
- Day hospitalization
- General anesthesia 1
- 1.5 hours
- IV Catheter
- IV fluids
- Technician time 1 -
1.5 hours
- Endoscopy fee
- +/- Endoscopic biopsy
fee
- +/- Endoscopic foreign
body removal fee
- Lab fees for histopath
For lower GI be sure to
include hospitalization for 1 - 2 days prior to procedure (if needed), enemas,
+/- GoLytely (usually available at pharmacy)
Typical fees collected
by your hospital associated with rhinoscopy or cystoscopy:
- Overnight hospitalization
- Anesthesia approx. 1.5
hours
- IV fluids for flush
(approx. 4 liters)
- Endoscopy fee
- Endoscopic biopsy fee
(biopsies always taken for rhinoscopy)
- Lab fees: histopath,
+/- fungal culture, +/- fungal serologies
- Technician time 1 -
2 hours
- IV catheter
