Specialized Training and Experience:

I have been performing ultrasound examinations since 1999. Initially I attended intense, hands-on training classes in Basic Ultrasound, Abdominal Ultrasound exams and Echocardiography. Following this I trained with an ultrasonographer in the human medical field for several weeks. I maintain my skills through regular didactic training and reading, as well as practical experience with cases. In April 2005, I spent one week at Purdue University studying abdominal ultrasound and echocardiography. In January 2006, I studied Echocardiography with Dr. June Boon and Dr. Jan Bright at Colorado State University. In October 2006, I attended the Advanced Abdominal Ultrasound course at Universal Ultrasound in Bedford Hills, NY. This course was taught by Dr. John Mattoon, author of the book, Small Animal Diagnostic Ultrasound.
I am currently collecting case reports for International Veterinary Ultrasound Society certification.
